Three Generations of Family Members from India involved in Crash, Killing Two Members

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (May 21, 2013) – According to an article in 10NewsNow.com an accident occurring Sunday morning has claimed the lives of three generations of family members from the Indian province Chhattisgarh. The male driver, Ashutosh Jain, 28, of Beaumont, Texas, and a female passenger, Chitra Jain, 58, of India, were killed. The third Indian family member survived. Investigators found that the driver of an Acura Legend was Aldo Diaz-Mafra, 20. Mafra caused the accident by entering the wrong way on the southbound I-15, crashing into the Jain family’s GMC Yukon, head-on. Investigators found prescription drug medications in Mafra’s Acura, and the driver may have been under the influence.

Three People Killed in Wrong Way Collision on I-15

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (May 19, 2013) – According to an article in 8NewsNow, a deadly wrong way collision occurred on the I-15 near the Speedway killing three people. According to Nevada Highway Patrol Investigators, a man drove his Acura Integra onto the southbound lane going northbound. He crashed into an SUV, killing the driver and passenger. The Driver of the Acura also died at the scene. Additionally there were four other people injured and were taken to UMC with critical injuries.

If you have a habit of speeding or talking on your cell phone and texting, don’t be surprised if you get a ticket. Tickets are going to handed out like candy for moving violations such as; following too closely, speeding, unsafe lane changes, and cell phone use. There will be a “zero tolerance” approach, according to officials.

California Man Killed on I-15 in Sloan, Nevada

SLOAN, Nevada (May 9, 2013) –In an article in The Las Vegas Sun, a 29-year-old California man was killed in an accident as he was driving on the I-15 in Sloan this morning. The Clark County Coroner identified the man and his family was notified. Nevada Highway Patrol officers stated that the man lost control of his truck and rolled into the south lanes of traffic. He was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene. The southbound lanes of the I-15 remained closed for several hours and have since re-opened.
