WEST VALLEY, California (May 6, 2013) – Several people were injured Monday morning when the driver of a semi-tractor trailer truck crashed through a center divider on westbound State Route 118 freeway and was subsequently struck by several other vehicles including another truck, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.

The impact of the truck hitting the wall caused the truck to plow through into opposing traffic on the other side of the freeway near the Sepulveda Boulevard exit. The truck was blocking the No. 1 lanes on both side of the 118 freeway, the CHP reported.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to tend to the victims, but details were not disclosed.

HESPERIA, California (May 1, 2013) – Helen Marie Bramasco, 53, of Hesperia was killed Tuesday night when her car was broadsided by the driver of a box truck at the intersection of Olive Street and C Avenue, according to a press release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner Department.

About 11:25 a.m., Bramasco was driving her 1995 Buick Park Avenue southbound on C Avenue approaching the intersection of Olive Street when the truck driver heading eastbound crashed into her vehicle.

Bramasco was taken by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she later died at 2:04 p.m., the report said.

The fatal truck accident is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department MAIT Division.

“If you are injured or lost a loved one in a crash with a truck driver it’s important to contact an experienced truck accident attorney to secure your rights,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “Indeed, an attorney who handles these types of cases knows for example that modern trucks are equipped with technology similar to a black box on an airplane that can be valuable evidence in a case, but only if it is preserved as evidence immediately after a crash.”

STOCKTON, California (April 30, 2013) – The drivers of a small van, a sedan and a green semi-tractor trailer truck collided Tuesday morning head on near Pete’s Place liquor store at 9355 California Highway 4, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.

About 8:12 a.m., CHP officers reported the 3-vehicle crash that blocked all lanes of the highway causing police to redirect traffic through the liquor store’s parking lot, the report said.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash for minor injuries sustained by those involved in the multi-vehicle crash.

“Motorists involved in crashes with big rig trucks may suffer serious or deadly injuries due to the massive size of these vehicles compared with the average-sized car,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “An attorney who specializes in crashes involving semi-tractor trailer trucks can help injured victims navigate the legal system and obtain compensation for losses.”

SAN BERNARDINO, California (April 25, 2013) – A semi-tractor trailer truck driver was injured Thursday morning after he struck a bundle of carpet that had fallen into the roadway and then crashed into the center divider of the southbound Interstate 215 freeway at Devore Road, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.

Just before 6 a.m., CHP officers reported a big rig truck had crashed into the center divider and hit a blue Honda on the I-215 freeway. The driver in the Honda told CHP officers that the big rig driver appears to be injured and to call for paramedics. Police learned that the big rig had struck the carpet bundle and swerved to the left where he hit the center divider and the Honda.

Rocks and debris from the crash fell over onto the northbound side of the freeway where they struck a white 1991 Honda Accord. The driver of that vehicle called the CHP about 8:13 a.m. to report his driver’s side head light had been shattered by the debris and there were four cracks in his windshield.
