LAS VEGAS, Nevada (July 3, 2013) – The cause of Ka performer Sarah Guillot-Guyard’s death was released by The Clark County Coroner’s Office today. Guyard fell at least 90 feet from her harness during a June 29th “Ka” show at MGM Grand. Guyard,31, was a French citizen and resident of Las Vegas. Her death was the result of “blunt force trauma” as stated in the Coroner’s report.
Guyard’s death was determined to be an accident. It could take more than six months for the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration to continue its investigation into how and why the accident occurred. “It is my hope that the NOSHA will determine what happened so MGM Grand and other casinos can prevent fatal accidents in the future,” states Attorney West Seegmiller, owner of The Seegmiller Law Firm.
