FULLERTON – One person was injured after their Toyota Corolla was rear-ended by a Chevrolet van, setting off a chain-reaction with two other vehicles on the southbound 57 freeway Monday morning
The driver of a Chevrolet van was allegedly traveling too fast for traffic when he struck the Toyota about 8:40 a.m. pushing it into a Volkswagen Beetle and ultimately a Hyundai sedan, according to news reports. The crash took place near Yorba Linda Boulevard.
Paramedics transported the injured person to UCI Medical Center in Orange for treatment of undisclosed injuries sustained in the crash, the report said. Police reopened traffic about 9:30 a.m.
“Those injured in rear-end collisions such as this can have serious neck or back injuries as a result,” said Attorney West Seegmiller, founder of the Seegmiller Law Firm. “Many victims of car crashes do not feel the full effect of the crash for several days or weeks after the crash so it’s important to see a doctor immediately for care.”
