DESERT HOT SPRINGS, California – Five people were injured Wednesday night in a head-on traffic collision involving two vehicles on Palm Drive near Two Bunch Palms, according to a CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighter press release.
The Dessert Hot Springs car accident took place about 8 p.m. at night. The victims included one patient with moderate injuries and four who sustained minor injuries. The injured people were all transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital, according to the report.
Police are investigating the car accident to determine the cause of the crash. Typically a traffic accident investigation will seek to find out if either driver was under the influence of alcohol, distracted or if there were any circumstances that may have led to the crash that were illegal or reckless.
