LA HABRA, Calfornia — A 20-year-old man was struck and killed Saturday in a hit-and-run crash involving four vehicles at Cypress Street near Lambert Road.
Emergency workers transported La Habra resident Joseph Quezada to UCI Medical Center with serious injuries, but he was pronounced dead a short time later at 5:30 p.m. Friends and family of the man held a vigil at La Habra High School on Sunday, car accident law firms have learned.
Quezada was driving a blue Hyundai Accent at the time of the crash involving a white Toyota 4-Runner, a U-Haul truck and a black Nissan Xterra, police officials said. No one else was reportedly injured in the car accident, reports show.
Police say they arrested Richard Ambriz, 18, of Santa Fe Springs and Dustin Lish, 19, of La Habra, the driver and passenger of the U-Haul truck on felony hit and run charges after they ran from the scene of the crash on foot following the car accident.
The car accident is under investigation by police and they are encouraging any witnesses to come forward.
