PASADENA, California (July 14, 2013) – A motorcyclist in his 50s was struck and killed late Saturday night after a collision with a vehicle on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway on-ramp from northbound Rosemead Boulevard, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.

Just before 4 a.m., CHP officers received a 911 call informing them of the major accident between a sedan and a motorcycle, on the border of Pasadena and the unincorporated area of Arcadia.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:53 a.m.

The accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

“Motorcyclists are often times overlooked on the roadways,” said Attorney West Seegmiller of Seegmiller Law Firm. “Drivers are often times distracted on the roadways and sadly innocent people are hurt or killed as a result. Justice can be obtained on behalf of those drivers who were hurt by another driver, but you may need the help of an experienced attorney.”
