PERRIS, California (Riverside County) – Marvin Brooks, 46, of Perris was struck by a car and killed Tuesday night on the southbound Interstate 215 just north of Fourth Street off ramp, according to a Riverside County Fire Department press release.
Paramedics responded to the 8:58 p.m. crash, however, the victim died at the scene, the report said.
According to the Press Enterprise, Brooks was a pedestrian walking on the shoulder of the interstate at the time of the crash.
Due to the fatal crash, California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert just after 9 p.m. for the southbound lanes. The CHP conducted an investigation into the cause of the crash and will determine if the driver was at fault or not.
