INGLEWOOD, California (July 29, 2013) — One man was critically injured after a two-vehicle accident left one car overturned at the intersection of Centinela Avenue and Florence Avenue, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.

Just after 3:30 p.m., Friday, CHP officers responded to several 911 calls informing them of an accident between two unknown vehicles.

Reporting witnesses informed officers that one vehicle was overturned and at least one party was trapped inside.

The crash shut down the intersection in three direction, leaving only the eastbound lanes heading into Centinela Avenue open.

Emergency officials arrived on scene, and paramedics transported the man, in critical condition, to a nearby hospital.

Officers said there is no word yet whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
