Police investigate every car accident involving a death to determine the cause of a crash, said Attorney West Seegmiller, founder of the Seegmiller Law Firm. The investigation will seek to find out if either driver was under the influence of alcohol, distracted or if there were any circumstances that may have led to the crash that were illegal or reckless.
“Fatal car accidents are difficult on families who have to cope not only with the loss of their loved one, but with the financial instability that often accompanies the death,” said Seegmiller. “Additionally, many families who lose a loved one want justice for them so that their death was not in vain.”
