HEMET, California — Kevin Kobashigawa, 50, of Hemet of killed early Sunday morning after he was struck while walking on the Ramona Expressway, according to a press release issued by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner Department.
The accident, which was reported at 3:14 a.m., took place on the freeway about 160 feet south of Cedar Avenue, the coroner reported.
Paramedics responding to the scene of the pedestrian accident transported the injured man to Hemet Valley Medical Center where he later died at 8 a.m., the report said.
The California Highway Patrol’s San Gorgonio office is handling the investigation into the Hemet pedestrian accident to determine what happened. The report did not indicate why Kobashigawa was in the roadway.
