HESPERIA, California (July 5, 2013) — Guadalupe Salazar, 36, of Moreno Valley was killed early Wednesday morning when her pickup truck crashed into a parked semi-tractor trailer truck on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Bear Valley Road, according to a press release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner Department.

About 1:18 a.m., Salazar was driving northbound on the I-15 Barstow Mojave Freeway in her white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Police say she veered off the roadway and into a parked big rig truck on the east shoulder of the freeway. Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident, but were unable to save her and she died at the scene of the crash.

The Victorville Highway Patrol office is investigating the solo crash to determine liability for her death.
