RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California –  At least one person was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on the Interstate 15 freeway just north of Jurupa, according to a dispatch report by the California Highway Patrol.

A gray sports utility vehicle allegedly struck the center divider and then collided with a car in the No. 1 lane of the freeway about 1:30 p.m. The report indicated that the driver of the gray SUV was still in their vehicle and was unresponsive by the time police arrived on the scene of the car accident.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash about 1:38 p.m. and were expected to transport the victim with major injuries to a nearby hospital for treatment.
