Lake Elsinore Police Investigate Traffic Accident on Collier Avenue at Riverside Drive
LAKE ELSINORE, California (Dec. 17, 2013) — Anthony James, 22, of Temecula died Monday afternoon just hours after his car was struck by a pickup truck in a 3-vehicle crash on Collier Avenue roughly 100 yards west of Riverside Drive, according to a press release by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner Department.
About 2:10 p.m., James was driving his sedan on Collier Avenue when for unknown reasons he was involved in this traffic accident.
Lake Elsinore Police Department officers responded to the injury traffic collision and found James was gravely injured. Paramedics transported him by ambulance to Inland Valley Medical Center in nearby Wildomar.
“There will be an accident report released on this fatal crash and it will contain an analysis of the collision factors based on evidence collected by police. This report will establish fault,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “The report is typically available within 30 days. This can be very helpful not only to law enforcement, but also to family and loved ones. We extend our sympathy to the family and friends of this young man they try to piece together what happened and come to terms with such a tremendous loss.”
