ALTADENA, California (April 20, 2013) — The driver of a white Toyota Camry allegedly cut across multiple lanes of the eastbound Interstate 210 Freeway Saturday morning crashing into two other drivers, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.

About 8:30 a.m., CHP reported that a red pickup truck was overturned on the I-210 following a crash with the Toyota Camry and a gold Toyota near the connector to the State Route 118 freeway.

The driver of the pickup truck managed to get out of the vehicle following the crash. Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash, but injuries were not disclosed. The three-vehicle collision was blocking all lanes of the freeway until tow trucks pulled the debris off the road.

As a result of the crash, the Los Angeles Fire Department closed down the eastbound SR-118 connector to the eastbound I-210 freeway.

Roughly an hour after the first collision, a grey sedan and a pickup truck collided in the same area causing the maroon pickup truck to overturn.

About 9:42 a.m., CHP officers issued a SigAlert for approximately 30 minutes as the wreckage was cleared from the roadway.

WEST LOS ANGELES, California (March 29, 2013) – The driver of a purple Chevrolet Corvette was allegedly driving reckless Friday morning prior to an injury traffic accident involving several other vehicles on the southbound Interstate 405 San Diego freeway near the eastbound connector to the State Route 90 East, a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.

About 9 a.m., the CHP reported someone was injured in a crash involving the Corvette, a white Toyota sedan, an SUV and another unidentified vehicle. The vehicles were blocking the right slow lanes of the freeway until police arrived and had one vehicle towed from the crash scene.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department were called to the scene of the crash as officers noted there was at least one person injured in the accident.

“Police rely on witnesses to help them piece together how an accident happened,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “Anytime you are involved in a crash, it’s important to get the phone numbers of anyone who may have seen what happened. In this case, witnesses saw one of the vehicles allegedly driving reckless and that will help anyone who was injured recover their losses.”

MISSION HILLS, California  –  An unidentified woman died when her car crashed into pole Sunday on State Route 118, but a 2-year-old boy riding in her car survived the impact, according to news reports.

Neither the woman, nor the boy were identified and their relationship to one another was not revealed by authorities.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene of the crash and told reporters that the child was restrained in a car seat, but the woman was trapped in the vehicle. Emergency workers spent roughly an hour using the Jaws of Life to cut open the vehicle to remove the woman’s body. The boy was transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital for treatment and was listed in fair condition.

The CHP closed down several lanes to traffic while they investigated the fatal collision.

LOS ANGELES, California – Amos Romasoc, 63, of Los Angeles was killed early Monday morning after a hit and run driver struck him while he was standing on a sidewalk at Western Avenue just south of Romaine Street, according to a press release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Los Angeles Fire Department emergency workers pronounced Romasoc dead at scene.

Now West Traffic Detectives are requesting the public’s help as they attempt to identify the male driver of the vehicle that killed Romasoc about 5:10 a.m. on Sept. 10. The driver and his male passenger abandoned the vehicle, a 2010 Chrysler Sebring, and fled on foot on Romaine Street after the crash. The vehicle’s license plate number is 6LUP437 and is registered in California.

Witnesses say the two suspects removed their shirts and ran into an apartment building at 5640 Santa Monica Boulevard. Roughly 25 minutes later, the two suspects exited the building and were seen getting into a blue Mazda with the California License plate No. 6UGC050.

Under California law, drivers who flee the scene of a traffic collision involving injury or death are criminals and face felony charges.

Police say the driver is a white male about 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 140-150 pounds. The passenger is described as a black male also about 20 to 30 years old.

Detectives from West Traffic Division are asking anyone who may have information about this incident to call Officer Hutchings at 213-473-0234. During weekends and off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at 1-877-LAPD24-7 (1-877-527-3247).
