SAN BERNARDINO, California (Feb. 5, 2013) — Vanessa Marie Bravo, age 28 of Barstow was struck and killed Tuesday night after she was hit by a car on the Interstate 210 Freeway at near the Waterman Avenue overpass, according to a press release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner Department.
About 9:40 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the pedestrian accident and found Bravo critically injured, the report said. Paramedics transported Bravo by ambulance to St. Bernardino Medical Center where she later died of multiple trauma injuries at 10:21 p.m.
The CHP is investigating the fatal pedestrian accident to determine what exactly happened. Just prior to the pedestrian accident, there was a separate 911 call to police alerting them that a woman wearing dark clothing was running in the roadway on the I-210 near Waterman Avenue.
