SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY (May 13, 2013) — Ruby Angie Bojorquez, 30, of Apple Valley was killed in an early morning crash on Mother’s Day when she was involved in a chain-reaction crash while driving on the Interstate 15 freeway, according to a news report issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner Department.

About 3:45 a.m., Bojorquez was driving a Ford Mustang when she allegedly rear-ended a Cadillac Escalade and was subsequently rear-ended by the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu. The report did not indicate any further details, but a police investigation is forthcoming.

Whenever someone dies in a traffic accident, police will conduct a complete investigation into the cause of the wreck to help determine who is liable. Anyone who is a victim of a car crash should also consider having an experienced personal injury attorney conduct a separate investigation to determine liability.

“There are no words that can lift the burden of pain and sorrow this family is enduring with the news of such an incredible loss,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “My condolences go out to the family and friends of Ruby Bojorquez.”

PALMDALE, California (Feb. 11, 2013) – Martha Garcia-Rodriguez, 4, of Palmdale died Monday afternoon three days after she was critically injured in a head-on car crash that killed both of her parents, according to a report issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner Department.

About 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, the four-year-old girl was a backseat passenger in a black 1994 Honda Civic driven by her mother Cynthia A. Rodriguez, 28. Her father Gary Valenzuela, 29, was a front passenger in the vehicle as it traveled eastbound on E. Palmdale Boulevard just west of 130th Street E. The icy roads caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle as it reportedly slid across lanes into opposing traffic where it struck a white 2012 Ford F-150 whose speed was estimated at about 55 mph, the report said.

The impact of the head-on collision killed the two adults in the front seats, but the child was transported by ambulance to Antelope Valley Hospital. Later she was transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she was treated for head injuries and other trauma, but she later died at 12:32 p.m. on Monday.

Paramedics also transported the driver of the pickup truck Allen W. McMahan, 61, and his passenger Anne E. McMahan, 62, of Palmdale to Antelope Valley Hospital where they were treated for moderate injuries.

“There are no words that can lift the burden of grief and sorrow the family and friends of this family are experiencing right now,” Attorney West Seegmiller said.  “The thoughts and prayers of our entire family are with them as they cope with such a tremendous loss.”
