NORTH COUNTY, California (May 25, 2013) – Socorro Aguirre-Reynosa of Oceanside was killed in a head-on crash with a suspected DUI driver in Oceanside last week. Reynosa was driving her 2004 BMW eastbound on SR-76 near I-15. At around 3:15 p.m. a Dodge Ram pick-up crossed a double-yellow line and crashed head-on into Reynosa’s Honda Fit.
Reynosa died at the scene. Her husband, daughter, 30, and grandson, 13, were all injured in the crash and all were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup was Jonathon David Roberts, 22, from Menifee. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Witnesses to the accident said Roberts had been swerving in his lane just before the accident.
