FALLBROOK, California — Socorro Aguirre-Reynosa, 53, of Oceanside was killed when a pickup truck driven by an alleged drugged driver crossed over into her lane and the two vehicles collided on State Route 76 just east of Monserate Hill Road, according to a press release issued by the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office.

About 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, Aguirre-Reynosa was driving a 2010 Honda Fit and traveling with her husband, daughter, 30, and a 13-year-old grandson when the head-on crash with a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck took place, the report said.

Paramedics were was called to the scene of the fatal wreck and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passengers suffered minor to moderate injuries in the collision, according to a report in the Oceanside Camp Pendleton Patch.

Jonathan David Roberts, 22, of Menifee was arrested after police suspected he was driving under the influence of marijuana, the Patch reported.
