THOUSAND PALMS, California – Two people had to be rescued about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning by Riverside Firefighters after the white pickup truck they were traveling in rolled over on the eastbound Interstate 10 freeway just west of Monterey Avenue, according to a CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire press release.
Fire Department rescue workers used the Jaws of Life to rescue the two victims after they were trapped in the crumpled wreckage after the crash. Paramedics quickly transported the victims by ground ambulance to a local hospital. One of the victims was in traumatic full arrest and the other sustained moderate injuries in the car accident.
