BEAUMONT, California – (RIVERSIDE COUNTY) Two people were critically injured after a head-on car accident between two vehicles Sunday morning on Beaumont Avenue Route 79 near the Interstate 10 freeway, according to a Riverside County Fire Department/CAL FIRE press release.

Twelve firefighters responded to the scene of the crash. The emergency workers found one of the victims trapped in their vehicle and extricated them at about 10 a.m., the report said. Four other people involved in the crash refused treatment, however, the report said.

Paramedics transported two critically injured victims by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed moderate injuries, the report said.
