CHULA VISTA, California (May 31, 2013) – A DUI checkpoint will be operating over the weekend in Chula Vista. According to an article in 8NewsNow.com, the checkpoint will go from 6p.m. Saturday to Sunday at 3 a.m. Chula Vista Police will not disclose the location at this time. Drivers who get arrested on DUI suspicion could face jail time, loss of driving privileges, insurance increases, and other fines. Officers will be looking for drunk drivers but will also be checking for valid licenses and registration. Vehicle could be seized at the driver’s expense if these things are found deficient.
