LAS VEGAS, Nevada (July 31, 2013) – Four members of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Use of Force Review Board have stepped down. One of these four members is Co-Chair Robert Martinez. Martinez wrote a resignation letter stating he disagreed with Sheriff Doug Gillespie’s decision to not fire Officer Jacquar Roston. Roston shot an unarmed man recently and the incident was under review by the Board. An update is pending the release of more information.
