SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA (September 30, 2013) – The CEO of a construction company called Morley Construction and his son are believed to have lost their lives in a jet crash that occurred at The Santa Monica Municipal Airport at about 6:20 p.m. yesterday.
Apparently the twin engine Cessna Citation plane, designed to hold up to ten passengers including crew, somehow veered off the run-way during its landing in Santa Monica. It then slammed into a hangar and bust into flames, according to The Federal Aviation Administration Spokesman, Ian Gregor.
A crane had to be used to lift debris and uncover any survivors. The crash is being described as “unsurvivable,” by Santa Monica Fire Department Capt. John Nevandro. The plane was flying in from Sun Valley Idaho, which is a popular area for celebrities and wealthy business people. More information will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
