SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: Construction Company CEO and Son Believed to Have Died in Jet Crash

Monday, September 30th, 2013

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA (September 30, 2013) – The CEO of a construction company called Morley Construction and his son are believed to have lost their lives in a jet crash that occurred at The Santa Monica Municipal Airport at about 6:20 p.m. yesterday.

Apparently the twin engine Cessna Citation plane, designed to hold up to ten passengers including crew, somehow veered off the run-way during its landing in Santa Monica. It then slammed into a hangar and bust into flames, according to The Federal Aviation Administration Spokesman, Ian Gregor.

A crane had to be used to lift debris and uncover any survivors. The crash is being described as “unsurvivable,” by Santa Monica Fire Department Capt. John Nevandro. The plane was flying in from Sun Valley Idaho, which is a popular area for celebrities and wealthy business people. More information will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA: Over Two Dozen People Injured after SUV Rear-Ends Transit Bus at South Bay Intersection

Monday, September 30th, 2013

CHULA VISTA: (September 30, 2013) – Over 21 people were injured this morning while riding in an MTS bus after a woman driving a Ford Explorer rear-ended the bus. The incident occurred at a South Bay intersection. The bus was stopped at the time as it was unloading passengers at East H Street and Paseo del Rey in Chula Vista.

It was about 7:30 a.m. when a woman in a Ford Explorer rammed into the rear of the bus with such an impact that four ambulances had to be called over. At least 21 people had to be taken to nearby hospitals and put on stretchers. Speed and the glare of the morning sun are believed by police to be factors in the incident, according to Chula Vista Police Sgt. Jim Horst. The Woman’s Ford Explorer sustained massive damages.

She was believed to have rear-ended the bus at 55 mph and was even accelerating, according to a Chula Vista Police Sgt. Jim Horst.

“When a car is going 55 mph and actually accelerating before running into a stopped vehicle especially a bus where no-one is presumably wearing seat-belts, has potential for traumatic injuries…thus each person involved would be wise to seek out legal counsel right away,” states attorney West Seegmiller.
