BREA: 4-Car Injury Crash on SR 57 Freeway at Lambert Road

Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013

BREA, California (Dec. 3, 2013) — At least one person was injured Tuesday night in a multi-vehicle crash on the State Route 57 Freeway at the north Lambert Road off ramp, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.

About 6:45 p.m., the drivers of a heavy-duty black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, a Ford Taurus, a black Honda Accord and a white Mercedes collided in an injury crash, but at least one of the drivers with airbags deployed drove home to his home in Brea, the report said. The car accident took place in the middle lanes of the freeway and one of the vehicles was facing the wrong way after the wreck.

Paramedics with the Brea Fire Department responded to the 57 freeway accident.

One of the drivers, left the scene of the crash because he told police he didn’t see anyone else pull over. He reportedly drove home and then required help for his injuries and called CHP officers and paramedics. The man also told police that he thought he was purposely struck by another motorist in his door so he was afraid to pull over because he felt threatened, the report said.

Brea Fire Department paramedics treated the man at his home, but he was not taken to a hospital.

The crash was causing traffic delays and police issued a SigAlert about 7 p.m. for about 45 minutes.

“People involved in car accidents involving multiple drivers must take steps to protect themselves if they are injured in the collision,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “It’s vital that injured victims of car crashes seek medical help immediately and obtain legal advice from an experienced personal injury attorney.”
