CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA, California – A pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Villa Cardiff Drive and Windsor Road was struck and killed Labor Day weekend in a hit-and-run crash, according to a San Diego Medical Examiner report.
The Hispanic man, who is described as in his 30s or 40s, has not yet been identified pending notification of his family. Police do not know where the man is from and are trying to locate his family.
Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the driver who fled the scene of the pedestrian accident late about 11:30 p.m. Sunday night in an unknown vehicle. Emergency workers responded to the scene of the pedestrian accident after a passing motorist saw the man lying in the street and called 911 for help. The victim died at the scene of the crash about 11:50 p.m., the report said.
