NEWHALL, California (July 14, 2013) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a two-vehicle traffic collision on the northbound side of Interstate 5, just west of the Interstate 210 connector, Thursday evening, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.
Just after 6:30 p.m., CHP officers received several 911 calls from witnesses that reported an accident between an unknown vehicle and a motorcycle.
Reporting witnesses said the “motorcycle rider was down in the freeway.”
Emergency officials arrived on scene, and transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
