VICTORVILLE, California – A child was injured after being struck by a car in a residential neighborhood at the intersection of Baldy Mesa Road and Highland Road, according to a dispatch report by the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP report was taken at 6:06 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Paramedics responding to the scene of the pedestrian car accident transported the child by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries, the report indicated.
“Drivers have a duty under California law to drive especially careful in residential and school neighborhoods,” said Attorney West Seegmiller, a personal injury attorney serving Southern California. “Children can dart out in front of a vehicle and the driver needs to be prepared to stop quickly to minimize injury and avoid a deadly consequence.”
