FULLERTON, California (June 20, 2013) - Chelsea Kashergen, 22, of Fullerton was struck and killed by a FedEx delivery truck driver today after her bicycle was hit by the truck driver on Nutwood Avenue in Fullerton, Fullerton Police Sgt. Jeff Stuart said.
Kashergen was riding eastbound on Nutwood when she was struck by the truck as she approached Ladera Vista Drive just before 2:20 p.m., Stuart said. The FedEx truck driver was northbound, making a left at the time of the collision, Stuart said. The bicyclist appeared to have had the right of way, but the investigation was ongoing, Stuart said.
