Leonel De La Torre Killed in Temecula Crash with Parked Big Rig on Interstate 10 freeway

TEMECULA, California – Leonel De La Torre, 33, was killed when the vehicle he was driving smashed into a parked big rig on the southbound Interstate 15 freeway near the Winchester off ramp, according to a Riverside County Sheriff coroner report.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to the traffic collision and used the Jaws of Life to cut and rescue the trapped man, but he died about 10 minutes later at 7:47 a.m., according to a Riverside County fire press release. No other injuries were reported in the Temecula truck accident. There were 11 fire fighters and two fire engines at the scene of the crash.
