LIVE OAK, California –  A female pedestrian suffered major injuries Sunday night when she was struck by a driver on Live Oak Boulevard State Route 99 at Clark Road in Sutter County, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

About 6:23 p.m., CHP officers responded to the crash and those at the scene told them the woman may have been struck by the side-view mirror of the vehicle. Several vehicles pulled over to help and the northbound lanes were blocked.

Paramedics transported the injured woman by ambulance to the nearest emergency room hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained in the accident.

“Police will investigate this pedestrian accident to determine liability,” said West Thomas, a personal injury attorney who serves Sutter County. “A report will be issued, typically within 30 days, and it is available to both parties involved in the accident.”
