LOS ANGELES, California (July 17, 2013) – Several people were injured Wednesday morning in a six-vehicle traffic collision on the southbound side of Interstate 101 near Temple Street, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.

Just after 12 a.m., CHP officers received a 911 call informing them of an accident on the Hollywood Freeway involving a semi-trailer tractor truck, a sheriff’s patrol car and four other vehicles.

The accident backed up southbound traffic to Sunset Boulevard, and closed the Temple Street offramp from the southbound 101 freeway for several hours.

Emergency personal treated one person on scene with minor injuries. In addition, paramedics transported at least two people to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

“Those who are involved a traffic accident, whether minor or major, may suffer injuries that don’t present themselves immediately,” said West Seegmiller, attorney for the Seegmiller Law Firm. “If you were in an accident it is important to get checked out, back and neck pain can be very serious and shouldn’t be ignored.”
