SAN DIEGO, California (August 14, 2014) – An alleged drunk driver fatally injured a 25-year-old pedestrian with his vehicle in Mira Mesa this morning at the 10900 block of Sunny Meadow Street, according to San Diego police. The intersection of New Salem and Sunny Meadow has been shut down while the accident is being investigated. The 25-year-old victim has not yet been identified.
“It’s hard to believe that people drive drunk at 6:45 a.m. during rush hour traffic, but they do and unthinkable tragedy happens,” states attorney West Seegmiller.
