LAKE MATHEWS, California – Three people were injured Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Cajalco Road about a mile west of La Sierra, according to a news release issued by the Riverside Fire Department.
About 4:23 p.m., Riverside Fire emergency workers were called to the scene of the crash and found a vehicle on its side with three people trapped inside. Fire fighters had to cut and rescue all three people from the wreckage. Paramedics transported the injured patients to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed minor and moderate injuries, the report said.
“Most drivers carry car insurance not only because it is required under California law, but also because they want anyone who is injured in their vehicle to be taken care of in the event they are injured or killed,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “Insurance companies, in turn, do not want injured victims to hire an attorney because studies have shown that victims represented by a lawyer recover 3.5 times more than those who deal directly with an insurance adjuster.”
