ALTADENA, California (June 27, 2013) – Several people were treated for injuries after a five vehicle accident late Wednesday night on eastbound Interstate 210 and Allen Avenue, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.
Just before 11:45 p.m. CHP officers received a 911 call informing them of the five-car accident that happened on the onramp of the 210 freeway.
CHP is investigating the incident, but said that the involved vehicles included a grey Toyota Echo, a red PT Cruiser, a grey Chevrolet Silverado, a Chevrolet HHR and a BMW. Several lanes of the freeway were closed down while medical attention was given and tow trucks cleared the debris.
At this time the injuries sustained in the accident are unknown, but at least two people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
“Those who are involved in a traffic accident may have serious injuries that need medical attention,” said Attorney West Thomas. “Many who are injured in car accidents will begin to experience back and neck pain about a day after the accident. It’s important to visit a doctor and get checked out.”
