LAS VEGAS, Nevada (May 13, 2013) – A 24-year-old Clark County high school teacher was arrested over the weekend for allegedly pursuing an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student. The 15-year-old male’s parents notified police after they raised concerns about their son’s interaction with his teacher, Amanda Brennan. Brennan was arrested on two counts of luring a child and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Apparently the 15-year-old had gone out at night with Brennan, outside of any school related activity. School district investigators stated that Brennan was cooperative with the investigation and that she admitted taking the boy out and interacting with him outside of normal teacher student scenarios. Brennan has been placed on administrative leave without pay.
