RANCHO CUCAMONGA: Seven-Vehicle Injury Crash, Motorcyclist Down on I-10 Freeway at Mountain Avenue

Friday, July 19th, 2013

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California (July 19, 2013) – A seven-vehicle injury car crash involving a motorcyclist Friday morning was blocking three lanes of the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway at Mountain Avenue, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch report.

About 8:45 a.m., CHP officers reported a motorcyclist and a black sedan were involved in the crash in the HOV lane, but soon it updated the crash to seven vehicles. The wreck was blocking the HOV and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway. Two flatbed tow trucks were called to the scene of the crash to remove vehicles and debris from the roadway. Paramedics also responded, but the report did not indicate whether anyone was transported to a hospital. The extent and number of injuries is also not known.

“If you are involved in a crash involving more than one driver it’s important to take down insurance and driver information from everyone involved,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “More important, contact a personal injury attorney to help you protect your rights and get compensation for your financial losses.”

SANTA ANA: SUV Runs Red Light Collides With Van, Both Vehicles Rolled Resulting in Several Injuries

Friday, June 28th, 2013

SANTA ANA, California (June 28, 2013) – A SUV ran a red-light Friday afternoon causing a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of East 17th Street and North Tustin Avenue, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.

Just before 1 p.m., CHP officers received several 911 calls from witnesses informing them that the SUV ran a red light and collided with a mini-van. The impact was so strong that both vehicles rolled.

There were several injuries, though the extent of them is unknown at this time. Injured persons were transported to a nearby hospital.

The CHP is investigating the accident.

“Those who are involved a traffic accident, whether minor or major, may suffer injuries that don’t present themselves in the moment,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “Many of these bumps and bruises worse over the days and need medical attention. This could include back and neck pain, both of which shouldn’t be ignored.”

NEWPORT BEACH: Five Killed in Crash on Jamboree Road Near Hyatt Regency

Tuesday, May 28th, 2013

UPDATE: Names of the victims were released Tuesday by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.  Abdurlrahman M. Alyahyan, 17, a University High School student; and four others from Irvine High school, Nozad Al Hamawendi, 16, Cecilia Zamora, 17, and sisters Robin Cabrera, 17, and Aurora Cabrera, 16.

NEWPORT BEACH, California (May 28, 2013) –  It is being described as one of the worst traffic accidents in decades. Five Irvine teenagers – three girls and two boys — were killed early Monday night in a fiery single-vehicle crash with a tree on Jamboree Road near Island Lagoon Drive, according to numerous news reports.

About 5:22 p.m., Abdurlrahman M. Alyahyan was driving an Infiniti passenger car traveling southbound on Jamboree when they swerved off the road and slammed into a tree planted in the center divider near the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, news sources say.

Four of the young people were ejected during the impact which split the vehicle in two. The fifth victim was partially thrown out of the car and critically injured, reports say. Paramedics transported the injured person by ambulance to  the trauma center Mission Viejo Hospital where they later died.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort the families and friends of these young people as they cope with such a tremendous tragedy,” Attorney West Seegmiller said.  “As the father of five young adults myself, I can only imagine the pain they are going through now. The thoughts and prayers of our staff are with them as they try to piece together what happened and come to terms with their deaths.”

WESTMINSTER CRASH: 3-Vehicle Accident on I-405 Freeway at Bolsa Avenue

Tuesday, May 21st, 2013

WESTMINSTER, California (May 21, 2013) – A woman was injured Tuesday morning in a crash in the No. 1 lane between a white Ford Focus, an SUV and a white Saturn Ion on the southbound Interstate 405 San Diego freeway near the Bolsa Avenue off ramp, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.

Just before 9 a.m., CHP officers reported that a woman in the Saturn struck her head during the 3-vehicle car accident and paramedics were called to the scene to transport her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

“Our lives are in the hands of other drivers every day we travel on our busy Southern Californian roadways,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “Indeed, while we cannot control how others drive, we can make a choice to hire an attorney to represent us against them if we are hurt in an Orange County crash. An experienced personal injury lawyer will help ensure our medical care is provided and our financial losses are regained.”
