ANAHEIM: 2-Car Accident on SR 57 Freeway at Lincoln Avenue

Thursday, November 21st, 2013

ANAHEIM, California (Nov. 21, 2013) –  The driver of a white sedan lost control of their vehicle and spun out on the northbound State Route 57 freeway early Thursday morning before being struck head-on by another driver in a dark-colored sedan, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

According to the CHP report, the two drivers collided just before 5 a.m. in the HOV and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the 57 freeway just north of the Lincoln Avenue E on ramp.

Paramedics responded to the crash, but the extent or number of injuries was not disclosed in the dispatch report.

The crash was blocking all lanes of the roadway and police closed down the eastbound Ball Road on ramp to the northbound 57 freeway as a result of the crash.

Motorists commuting on our busy Orange County freeways who are injured in a car crash such as this one may need the assistance of an experienced personal injury attorney to guide them through the legal process if they wish to be compensated for losses, said Newport Beach Attorney West Seegmiller.

Indeed, studies have shown that typically people who are represented by an attorney in a car accident claim receive 3.5 times more compensation than those who deal directly with an insurance adjuster.

Wednesday, November 13th, 2013

SANTA ANA, California (Nov. 13, 2013) — The drivers of six vehicles and a big rig truck collided early Wednesday morning in a crash on the southbound State Route 55 freeway just south of the Interstate 5 Freeway, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

About 5:45 a.m., CHP officials reported as many as seven vehicles were involved in a traffic accident in the No. 1 lane of the southbound 55 freeway just north of McFadden Avenue. The crash involved the drivers of a white Honda or Toyota Corolla, an SUV, s tan Nissan, a black 2006 Scion XB, a Nissan Altima sedan and a silver Honda Element, the report said.

The white sedan was described as “blacked out” with the rear end of the car smashed all the way to the driver’s seat, the report said.

The silver Honda Element was moved to the right-hand shoulder of the road and its female driver appeared to be extremely shaken up, but police say she declined medical help. A woman who was driving the Scion was not injured.

Paramedics responded to the collision, but there were no details about those injured in the crash.

“Those injured in a multi-vehicle collision such as this one may need medical help, but they may not realize it for several hours or even the following day when soft-tissue injuries present themselves,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “If you believe you have an injury it’s important to seek medical attention and contact a personal injury lawyer to ensure you are compensated for all your financial losses.”

UCLA Football Wide Receiver Killed in San Clemente Pedestrian Accident

A Vigil was Held at San Clemente High School for the Former Triton

SAN CLEMENTE, California (Sept. 9, 2013) – Nicholas Pasquale, 20, a San Clemente native and UCLA Bruins football wide receiver, was killed early Sunday morning when he was struck by a motorist as he walked on Camino Del Los Mares, just west of Calle Nuevo, according to a report by the Orange County Sheriff Coroner and news reports.

About 1:27 a.m., Pasquale was struck by a driver who stopped and called 9-1-1 for paramedics, but the young man died at the scene of the car accident, the coroner report and sheriff’s officials said. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash, however, the driver was not cited.

Family, friends and fellow teammates gathered last night at San Clemente High School to hold a vigil to remember Pasquale whose football teammates nick-named him “Pac Man.”

UCLA coach Jim Mora was among those in attendance at the vigil. He told the crowd of hundreds of people – some donning San Clemente High School’s Tritons football jerseys — who came that Pasquale had a “positive impact on everyone who knew him.”

Pasquale started his career as a football player at San Clemente High school where in his junior and senior years he played a cornerback and receiver. In 2011, Pasquale’s squad was a CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division runner-up. At UCLA last fall, Pasquale began as a redshirt freshman who practiced with the 16th-ranked Bruins scout team.

Pasquale last played for UCLA as #36 on its opening day of the season. The Aug. 31 game against Nevada at the Rose Bowl was described in reports as a “jaw-dropping” victory for the Bruins.
