Passenger Killed After SUV Crashes on Interstate 5 Freeway in Laguna Hills

Los Angeles Man, 41, Killed in Car Crash on I-5 Freeway in Orange County

LAGUNA HILLS, California (Sept. 6, 2013) – Passenger Charles Holguin III, 41, of Los Angeles was killed Thursday afternoon when the SUV he was riding in crash on the southbound Interstate 5 freeway, just south of El Toro Road, according to a press release by the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.

About 2:36 p.m., CHP officers from the San Juan Capistrano station were called to the scene of the crash that reportedly resulted from an “out of control SUV.” CHP notified paramedics who found Holguin in critical condition. He was quickly transported Holguin to Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo where he later died at 3:06 p.m. the same day.

The California Highway Patrol’s San Juan Capistrano division is investigating the fatal crash to determine what exactly happened and assign liability for this man’s death.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort this man’s family and friends as they cope with such an incredible loss,” Attorney West Seegmiller said.  “The thoughts and prayers of our staff are with them as they try to piece together what happened and come to terms with his death.”

At The Seegmiller Law Firm, our attorneys want nothing more than to help bring justice to injured clients and families of those killed due to someone else’s negligence. Also, our attorneys have handled numerous claims totaling more than $150 million on behalf of people involved in traffic accidents. Indeed, our law firm recently settled an injury claim on behalf of a family whose father was critically injured in a crash on the San Diego 405 Freeway last year.

“It’s never about the money,” Seegmiller said. “However, the loss of support can be devastating to a family with children at a time when they need it the most.”

After more than three decades in business, our attorneys know the ins and outs of the law as it pertains to those who have suffered a wrongful death in an accident. We also know the tactics used by many unscrupulous insurance companies who may try to slant evidence in their favor or get a person to accept an offer to settle a claim for far less than it is worth.  There are mistakes that can be made if you do not retain an attorney in this type of claim.
