STANTON, California (July 25, 2013) — Alberto Ramos, 40, of Stanton died Monday just two days after his bicycle was struck by the driver of a small sports utility vehicle at the intersection of Dale and Cerritos avenues, according to a press release issued by the Orange County Sheriff Coroner Department.
About 10:20 p.m., on Saturday, July 20, Ramos was riding his bicycle at the intersection when for unknown reasons the driver struck him and he was critically injured. Paramedics transported Ramos by ambulance to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he later died two days later on July 22 of his injuries, the report said.
“Police are likely trying to piece together what happened to Mr. Ramos to determine liability for his sudden death,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “My condolences to the family of Alberto as they cope with his unexpected loss.”
