San Jacinto Woman Killed in Crash with SUV on Simpson Road
WINCHESTER, California (October 18, 2013) — A 48-year-old woman was killed and two were injured Wednesday night in a head-on car crash with another driver on the eastbound lanes of Simpson Road about a quarter mile west of Warren Road, according to a press release by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
About 7 p.m., Jose Eulalia, 48, of San Jacinto, was driving a car on Simpson Road when she collided with the driver of a SUV. She died about 40 minutes later at the scene at 7:33 p.m., the report said. Two others were injured in the collision, according to the Riverside Fire Department.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Gorgonio station was at the scene of the fatal crash.
“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort this woman’s family and friends as they cope with such a tremendous loss,” Attorney West Thomas said. “The thoughts and prayers of our staff are with them as they try to piece together what happened and come to terms with her death.”
Police will interview witnesses and collect evidence in an effort to determine liability for this accident. Those injured may seek assistance from a personal injury attorney to obtain compensation for their losses.
