RIVERSIDE, California (Jan. 16, 2013) – A woman was trapped in her blue Toyota Camry after it was pinned up against a wall during a multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig truck and five other vehicles Wednesday morning on the northbound Interstate 215 Freeway at Box Springs Road, according to a dispatch report issued by the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency workers responding to the crash just before 6 a.m. had difficulty reaching the scene of the multi-vehicle collision due to heavy traffic, the report said. The pileup was blocking the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway. Paramedics were called to the scene, but there was no indication as to how many people were injured and whether or not they were transported to a hospital for treatment.
All together there were six vehicles involved in the crash including a blue Chevrolet Corvette that required a flat bed tow truck in order to be removed from the scene of the wreck.
