SAN DIEGO, California (Nov. 21, 2013) — At least one person was injured after the drivers of a green Toyota 4Runnver SUV and a grey Toyota Corolla sedan collided Thursday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 freeway at Market Street north, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 7:23 a.m., CHP officials reported the SUV lost both of its rear tires upon impact and subsequently crashed into the center divider. The sedan was blocking the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes following the crash.
Paramedics responded to the injury crash and transported at least one person who was hurt to University of California San Diego Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries about 9:11 a.m. Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the crash.
