Ford Mustang Crashes Into Tree  on Friars Road Injuring Two Passengers

SAN DIEGO, California (Nov. 15, 2013) – Two teenage passengers suffered serious injuries early Friday morning when the driver of a car they were riding in veered across opposing traffic and crashed into a tree in the 7700 block of Friars Road at Mission Center Road, according to a report by the San Diego Police Department.

About 2:15 a.m., San Diego police say a teenager driving a white Ford Mustang with two passengers lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a tree on the side of the roadway.

Paramedics responded to the car accident and transported two passengers by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of injuries including a fractured pelvis, back injuries, head injuries and gashes to one of the victim’s feet, according to City News Service. The driver appeared to be unharmed.

Police say speed was a factor in the collision, but not alcohol, a San Diego injury attorney said.

“Young drivers are inexperienced and this is typically the number one reason they are involved in a traffic accident,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “Hopefully those who were injured in this crash are able to fully recover.”
