SAN DIEGO, California (May 18, 2013) – According to an article in 8NewsNow.com, police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred in the Midway District of San Diego and left a pedestrian with critical injuries. At about 8:15 p.m. Friday a driver struck a pedestrian that was crossing at Midway Drive and Rosecrans Street. The pedestrian was a man in his forties and was walking along the 2700 block of Midway when he was struck by 2004 Honda that was headed northbound. A man in his 30’s was driving the Honda and after hitting the pedestrian he fled in his vehicle. Police were able to apprehend him in his home later that evening.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries to a finger and one of his legs.
“Hit-and-runs are just so tragic because someone is completely evading responsibility for causing someone so much pain and suffering. It’s always a relief when a hit-and-run driver is caught,” states West Thomas, owner and founder of The Thomas Law Firm.
