SAN DIEGO, California (July 18, 2013) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured early Thursday afternoon on the southbound side of Interstate 5 just north of 28th Street, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.
Just after 2:30 p.m., CHP officers received a 911 call informing them of an accident involving a motorcycle and an orange pickup truck.
Reporting witnesses said the motorcycle rider was laying in the roadway, and appeared seriously injured.
Emergency officials arrived on scene, and paramedics transported the motorcycle rider to a nearby hospital. His condition and injuries are unknown at this time.
“Motorcyclists are often times overlooked on the roadways,” said Attorney West Seegmiller of Seegmiller Law Firm. “Drivers are often times distracted on the roadways, and if you are someone you know are injured as a result of an accident that wasn’t your fault you should be properly compensated.”
