SANTA CLARITA, California – One person was killed and another injured early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash with a tree at Soledad Canyon Road between Camp Plenty and Whites Canyon roads, according to police reports.
The crash took place early this morning about 6 a.m. when for unknown reasons the driver of the vehicle lost control and the car crashed into the tree. One person died at the scene of the car accident, but paramedics transported the other victim to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries, the report said.
Santa Clarita Valley Police officers are investigating the car accident to determine its cause. Police have not released the names, gender or ages of either victim pending notification of their families.
