SANTA CRUZ, California (July 4, 2013) – There was a four-vehicle traffic collision Thursday afternoon on the southbound side State Route 17, just south of Pasatiempo Road, blocking two lanes, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.
Just before 1 p.m., CHP officers received a 911 call informing them of an accident involving a silver Toyota Sienna, a Toyota vehicle, a Ford vehicle, and another unknown vehicle.
Emergency officials arrived on-scene, where several people were treated with minor injuries. In addition, at least two people were transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital, their injuries are unknown at this time.
The accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
“Those who are involved a traffic accident, whether minor or major, may suffer injuries that don’t present themselves immediately,” said Attorney West Seegmiller of Seegmiller Law Firm. “If you were in an accident it is important to get checked out, back and neck pain can be very serious and shouldn’t be ignored.”
