SAN DIEGO, California (July 26, 2013) – A 25-year-old woman was attacked Wednesday her friend’s pit bull and had to go to the Emergency Room in Point Loma, according to authorities. Devon Mackie is the owner of the 4-year-old male pit bull named “Bronx.” The dog has been quarantined since the incident. The San Diego County Animal Control reported that the injured woman was walking the dog named Bronx when he tried to get out of his leash and then bit her. The woman was bit and bleeding at the neck area, according to several witnesses. Devon Mackie stated that this is not the first time Bronx has attacked a person and that sometimes Bronx is calm and other times extremely aggressive, according to a reporter from 10NewsNow.
“Dog bites can be very painful and take a lot of time to heal. They often leave major scarring on individuals and often require plastic surgery to make a victim whole again,” states attorney West Seegmiller, owner of The Seegmiller law Firm in San Diego.
