Two Vehicles Collide in Accident on Hermosa and Sielito Streets

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California (Dec. 16, 2013) – Theodore Eugene Persell, 39, of Rancho Cucamonga was killed Friday night in a car crash with another driver and a tree on Hermosa Street, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

About 7:02 p.m., Persell was heading southbound on Hermosa Avenue when he collided with another driver near Sielito Street. He lost control of his four-door, 2006 Acura sedan and the vehicle crashed into a tree at the location, the report said. Paramedics responded to the car accident, but Persell was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency workers.

The fatal car accident is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

“There is an accident report pending for this fatal crash and it will contain an analysis of the collision factors based on evidence collected by police. This report will establish fault,” said Attorney West Seegmiller. “The report is typically available within 30 days. The report is very helpful not only to law enforcement, but also to family and loved ones.  We extend our sympathy to the family of Mr. Persell as they try to piece together what happened and come to terms with such a tremendous loss.”
