SAN JOSE, California (July 2, 2013) – There was a two-vehicle collision between a motorhome and a pickup truck, sending one passenger of the motorhome through the windshield late Monday night on the northbound side of State Route 85 and State Route 17 junction, according to a dispatch report filed by the California Highway Patrol.
Just after 10:30 p.m., CHP officers received several 911 calls from witness of a man laying on the righthand side of the Highway 85 after a collision between a pickup truck and a motorhome.
A fire broke out, though it was unclear which vehicle went up into flames.
At least two people were transported by paramedics to an area hospital, the extent of their injuries was unknown, but according to reports is severe.
The accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
