Las Vegas, Nevada (June 6, 2013) – A teenage girl accidently set off a handgun, shooting and killing 13-year-old Brooklyn Mohler on Tuesday. Mohler was shot at a home located at the 1600 block of Little Crow Avenue near Spencer Street and Pebble Road at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mohler was taken to the local ER and died later in the evening. Metro Police are saying Mohler’s death was a “tragic accident,” and charges will not be filed. The gun came from within the home where Mohler was shot. A serious investigation is underway. “Guns should always be kept in locked safes in the home and gun control laws need to address these issues more thoroughly,” states West Seegmiller, owner of The Seegmiller Law Firm.
